During these tough economic times, many local families are finding it especially tough this holiday season. 98.9 ORC-FM has teamed with the Guild of St. Agnes, the Friendly House, the Boys and Girls Club of Worcester, and the Worcester County Sheriff's Office to help provide a Happy Holiday for some of the Worcester area's less fortunate families.
We need your help! Here's how you can make a difference during this Season of Giving…
Each weekday, we are focusing on a local family that is having a difficult time making ends meet this holiday season. Listen to 98.9 ORC-FM as we tell you about each day's family and list the gifts that are needed. You can call in and make a donation or drop off a donation to our WORC offices (see below).
You can drop off items between 830am-5pm here at WORC, on the 5th Floor at 250 Commercial St. in Worcester. Deadline for donations: December 18th, 2013 at 5pm.

Michelle and Jose are parents to four children. This past summer, their house burnt down, leaving them with little to no possessions. Since jose has been out of work, they have not been able to replace the clothes and toys lost. They have received some support from the community, but they are still struggling to make ends meet. Their living arrangements are tough, and putting food on the table is hard enough, let alone buying toys and extra clothes.
